I tend to think that they won't see a wider loss this quarter. With closing down the stores, it seems like they would be reducing quite a bit of their expenses. Perhaps they are still having to pay rent on many of those stores to close contracts, I don't know. Still, the purpose of closing the stores and moving onto the internet was primarily based on reducing costs. It will be interesting to see if any reduction in cost is sufficient to outweigh any corresponding slowdown in sales associated with building recognition on the internet. They should lose a good bit of money that they would have made from walk-in traffic. Unlike AMZN and YHOO, I don't think too many people have a good feel for what to expect out of EGGS.
