I dont want to get into over if someones a liar or not.
If you EVER find a firm that NOBODY has ever had a problem with let me know and I'll wake you up. I think/hope webstreet gets better.

As for brown...I dont know maybe its me. I have part of my IRA with them. Everytime I try and consolodate their figures they dont add up.
For example....
Market value....17,561 , cash available (and also net credit) is 7252.
When I go to the positions screen, the sum of my positions is $15,364.
Something doesnt add up somewhere. It would seem to me that if one adds their cash to their positions it would be the total account value. What is my IRA at brown worth ? $22,616 ? If so what does the "market value" figure mean ? Where do they get 17,561 ?
At Datek I go to the bottom and it tells me what my account is worth. Its simple. I want to be able to go to the screen and figure out what the damn account is worth. What am I missing ?

Oh and I did call the NASD but its not webstreet that caught heat. They dont make markets. Its their market maker...Nash Weis (NAWE) that wasnt displaying the orders as they are required. Webstreet was pretty pitiful in that they could never even give me an explanation as to the problem or anything. I had a similar problem at a different broker who uses Herzog, HRZG didnt know they had to display orders for nasdaq small-cap stocks or something. So when my broker told me that I got the rule # gave it to my broker and they called HRZG and BINGO. HRZG then realized their error and started representing them.
At webstreet despite numerous calls I got NOTHING...other than a " we know" and "there is nothing we can do". Attitude.
Actually I TRIED to resolve it without having to file formal complaints but nothing worked. Webstreet actually encouraged me to do it.
