What I am totally confused about is what is the total intertwining of David and Jesus. SAMUEL and Jesus I could see. Maybe we could find someone else in the OT who seemed Christlike. David was just a very good looking guy who loved God, until he got rich and famous and could have anything he wanted. Then he wanted everything. Absoutely the flip side of the Son of God.

The true message of David is yet to be revealed, I think. Could we have all missed the point? Or have I? Interesting. Things you see when you never really looked for yourself before.

David for me was always the ultimate example of NO MATTER what you do, or howo far you fall, those who truly love God will always come back to Him. Period. But, David's life was still filled with blood and unhappiness until the end. He was not Job. I would like to look at the King period. The relationship with Samuel--I was beginning to see darkly a lot of things and then it slipped away. I'll have to look again.
