L3,

>> Msft sees slower PC sales: <<

Whoa, here now! Let's look at this! MSFT provides operating systems for 'everybody' making PCs. DELL cannot possibly make all of the PCs that the others are losing out on.

Overall, PC sales down - that means TOTAL - example:

Let's say, last year, DELL, GTW, HWP and IBM each sold 500K units each with a copy of MSFT for 2 million units (4x500K).

This year GTW, HWP and IBM each sold 300K units and DELL sold 750K each with a copy of MSFT for 1.65 million units (3x300K + 750K).

MSFT experienced a decline of 350K units, but DELL experienced an increase of 250K units! It is all in relationship to where you are standing when the figures are reported.

Regards,

Ken
