Whenever projecting earnings brokerages should be required by the SEC to post their estimating history for the past two or three years (estimate vs actual).

Greg,

That would be nice, but SEC is a paper tiger with no teeth. Companies routinely leak information to selected analysts. SEC of course prohibits this, yet they endorse it by the fact they do nothing. I've complain about this at times to SEC. In one instance I even layed out the case for them, but they never even responded to me. SEC is a waste of time.

I have considered setting up a web site and keeping track of these brokerage clowns. It would be interesting to keep track of the upgrades/downgrades, estimates, date/time, stock price etc. Some of these guys would have to get a new job.
