Mad: Great post, IMO. I think you're right. I think it's important that we have the criticisms. WE need all this activity, when we invest our money. I think everyone should help each other as much as we all can, and contribute even more to this idea. If everyone would just realize that the way to make these contributions would be to just get in there and criticize, we all would be better off. I have an idea. Why not find some stocks that need a group of people to get together like those cool "killer bees", and make our own little nest on them. There are plenty of them out there, but maybe a good way to find stocks that people might want to target, is to look in people's profiles. Just for educational purposes, lets say you all decided that there was someone that you all felt needed your help. Saaaaaaaaaaaaayyyy... I have an idea... How about the people that spend so much time helping you all? Look at the stocks that they invest in, get together, and get in there and do your part! Now, what would this do for the message-board society? Well for one thing, the contribution to SI's "hit" numbers. That is good advertising, and then maybe even more people could join, & more people could benefit from the constant criticisms. Here's another, you all would be helping people like the ones that have helped you all , to enrich themselves , like they have helped you. Even if your help didn't result in them actually getting any monetary return, they might prosper by the educational aspect of it. Don't let anybody kid you...there's a lot to be said for learning..even if it's only lessons. IMO, that has been way too underrated. Then there's the personal gain that you all would get, in the coin of "satisfaction". Just think how good you all would feel to be able to just "give back" to these people, for all of the wonderful experiences they have given you on SI. Sadly, there were some people that just didn't understand, and they are no longer here on SI, too bad. They made the mistake of thinking that when they invest their money in something, that they were allowed to take their help outside of SI. There are strict rules governing that, you know. No help outside of SI, ask any member of the original people who started the concept of helping people. Of course, they make the rules, and no one should consider straying from the chat-room. (To help them) Remember this is money that you get from SI derived benefit, so it's only allow to be spent on computer related stuff. IF you need it for anything else, too bad, that is also against the rules. This is all just a thought I had, I wonder what other people think? ;-)
