Dennis <<you mean the crash is over all ready??>> the program trading can be deceptive. the houses involved will sell blocks in ANTICIPATION of selling from the commercials and the general public. For instance. They sold at $114 (short), and you in panic sold at $107. They give you the sold stock and make a $7 profit. If they can't find enough sellers, they must hurry up and buy back so as to not cover above their selling price. They also will buy blocks of stock in anticipation of buying. Not sure why Dell is one of their favorites to tag around the block though.
