Kathleen, >>It's been lonely being a MU poorhouse bear.

Don't feel lonely, I am with you. I did make a mistake on the last stock down cycle that I did not take at least two thirds profit, just took one third, but I can not see in the future.<ggg> I added to my position last week.

Thanks for all your posts, the information is very helpful.

Joan

Kathleen, >>What do you think of the MSFT comments as reported by Bloomberg. I don't follow them that closely. I know they are normally conservative so I don't know if the statements are business as usual for them.

It is my opinion that the new management structure at MSFT is going to allow Bill Gates to lead the effort to try and make them number one in the MSN ( take out AOL and others), Digital TV, Office, Data Base and Gaming businesses. I sold my MSFT position a short while ago when declining PC business was clearly going to make their PE unacceptable by anyones standards - had it for sometime, but will buy in again if I see some more monopoly successes from these efforts. If Bill is successful this is a pure copy of Standard Oil. He must had studied Standard Oil very carefully at Harvard.<ggg> The Standard Oil break up pieces have been wonderful for those that still own the original company and the break up pieces. Same with AT&T.

BTW, I am staying away from stocks in the areas that he is going after.
