Roger:

While I follow and agree with nearly all your recommendations, including FSTW, I do believe you are in error re NTBK.

I don't think the market price is based on that extraordinary gain, as the price was in the $28 range prior to the latest earnings release, and the prior earnings releases showed a steady stream of consistently lowering losses. Market was hoping for break-even and got a gain of $.02 per share.

They have the lowest cost structure in the banking industry. Branchless banking allows them the highest rates paid to depositors, lowest fees charged.

They are 2 years old and profitable - try that on any other internet business.

Their account and deposit growth has been phenomenal, for a good solid reason - they offer a better deal than other banks and they can afford to do so.

I have two accounts and a mortgage now with them.

I recommend you read the NTBK thread Subject 16763. Also, I'd love it if you visited their Atlanta office and report bank to the thread.

Peter

P.S. I've no position in NTBK. Having sold for a nice gain at $28, I can't stand the idea of buying higher than I sold.
