The company should be very cautious about releasing "secrets" to anyone outside the company ... even Thee (or Me!). It's dangerous both to the company and to the recipient, especially if the recipient acts upon it. Of course, if a non-insider shareholder becomes aware of insider information, the best thing to do with it is to destroy its insiderness --- by making sure that some other outsiders are aware of it -- before taking action.
