>>>2- as if JAVA means ANYTHING to SUNW [Analysts, who don't know any better, think JAVA is actually important to SUN.. Yeah Right.] <<<

I think you're missing the point here! Java "IS" computing of the
future. Just think, Java will be running your whole house! Your
alarm in the morning will set everything in motion. Your shower,
toast and coffee, TV morning news, all timed, hey, not even timed,
lets say as you need it you ask for it, timed to your own specific
needs.

No, I don't think there's any money to be made here!
Let's just trash that idea! Maybe someone else will
waste their time coming out with a different idea.
Hey, maybe ActiveX! You can have your toast "IN" the shower! :)

And which company do you know of that has been growing in its own niche with MSFT at its fringes. No this is not a religious war, it is a business war (i.e., business is defined by competitive conflict). SUNW is never going to get along with MSFT whether McNealy keeps his mouth shut or not. A better idea would be to shut Gates up. When SUNW starts getting along with MSFT, their history, they'll be consumed. Don't be so naive, business is not about "getting along" with your competitors.
