As a matter of fact, that has been the situation from the very beginning, especially on the SH forum. It is also the very reason that I have "wasted" my time. This has been an interesting story, regardless of the fact that I sold my position long ago. I guess my question is - do you object to a non shareholder posting? Dan

Avalon, Guess you could say that I expressed a "valid dissenting opinion to counter some overly optimistic speculations" a few times around here, although I'm not sure they were "always welcome" <gg>. Never felt I wasted any time here. Investing is a tough game and studying market psychology is one of my hobbies. This thread has provided a wealth of educational (and entertainment) value over the last couple of years and the lessons learned are always valuable. My only regret is that when KRY skyrocketed, I had no $$$ with which to short it. I made the right call, but the timing was wrong in terms of my cash account. In fact, if I had some free money laying around, I still believe that this would be a good short. I doubt there is much chance of it skyrocketing again anytime soon. Oh well, there's always next time.

Don't worry about the reason why people post here. SI is a great source of information. KRY was and is an interesting story. Everybody made it interesting; longs, shorts, neutrals, newsletter writers and two journalists with completely opposite views. You don't have to be a shareholder to be involved. SI can help you make decisions to invest or not to invest. The reason I entered this thread back in February because several people were bashing PDG. You could have call this an anti-PDG thread also. After all they drilled the property and calculated the reserves. PDG were called liars etc. As for Carson bashing, he was a major source of information. He made several comments like "Placer is History" and "Placer is not welcomed anymore in Venezuela". Remember that KRY had a problem with the government of Venezuela not with Placer Dome. C'mon Avalon, do you think a government who is trying to attract foreign investment into their country would say such a things. I only made a few posts after the decision however when Carson entered the thread, I had to ask him who was his sources. He really gave it to PDG in his news. Why? His reporting is amusing like ..two business men checked in the Caracas Hilton or MO was found in heavy conversation over dinner. Funny stuff. So what.
