Justa and ALL: < UTEK Shorts at 7-15 increase 7.9% to 2.94 mil > Barron's reports 7/15/98 UTEK short interest rose to 2,941,527 shares from 6/15/98 short interest of 2,727,298. Given reported average daily volume for the month at 150,274 shares, that equates to approximately 19.57 days for the shorts to cover. Given the lack of a significant share price decline in response to UTEK's release of terrible earnings this past week, I'm sure am glad I'm not short UTEK. If a quarterly earnings report that bad won't make the price go down, what will ??? P
