Just a suggestion: If anyone had a market order in between the last trade and close they might want to investigate it with their broker etc...... It does seem odd.

Does anyone know how many MM's for GE exist?

I suppose anything is possible. Yesterday should have ended on an uptick around 1/2 if the recent pattern was to hold true. Today (barring news) should end on a downtick around 3/8. This morning I think they just walked the ask up to try and attract people willing to pay a little more. I don't think MM's are particularly interested in fundamentals. They rape, pillage and plunder on every trade regardless of price and look to take particular advantage when volumes and volatility are temporarily high on news.

I don't know why it didn't trade for the last 90 minutes yesterday. Maybe no one would pay their price?
