Has anyone noticed that the Prez signed the IRS overhaul bill that reduces the holding period for 20% capital gains tax treatment to 12 months instead of 18? Hold on for at least 12 mos and only pay 20% or else get stiffed with approx. 40% gov't punch. With trade deficit & lower cap. gain taxes--stock market will go higher (despite yesterdays dip).
