HBOC & Co downgraded by Adams Harkness from Buy to attractive

But that means nothing!

Chuzzlewit, I stand by my previous analysis. You should also remember that Nasdaq at least double counts volume, so it was closer to 12 million shares traded. To think that the arbitrageurs weren't there doing their job is what defies logic, IMO. You act as if I am saying arbitrageurs were the only ones trading, and that also isn't true. The fact that the arbitrage premium steadily narrowed is all I need to know to verify that my analysis is correct. I don't know if you quite understand the concept of stock prices being set on the margins. The overall market cap is totally irrelevant to short term trading.

Umm, BTW, I haven't taken any position. I am tempted to go long, but very concerned about the near term outlook for the stocks price.

Chuz, I agree the merger arbitrage action should not result in this size drop.

I agree with those who have said it is the MoMo fund players who have bailied out on fears of slowing growth.

I think they could be right. Slightly. Slightly slowing growth.

Very attractive stock in a much slowing market.

$38 last week may well have been an unjustified gift. Current prices are also unjustified. As in way too low

Me thinks.

And I think the market will soon think, as well.

I think 32-4 is easy soon, and that growth from there will also come without much difficulty, before long.
