OK, it's not quite that simple. If you want a case study, try following Bil Wexler's Profits of Doom thread. Just recently the thread was invaded by TAVA longs. The attacked Bill, pointed out short positions he had taken that had gone against him, counted how much he had lost, and took a poll which decided that he was an idiot. TAVA has dropped from 9 1/2 to 7 1/2 in about a week since that occurred. I realize that corollation does not equal causation, but I have seen too many threads where one side was in control, and at the point that that side got cockiest, it marked the inflection point in the stocks price.
