I used to work for Murray Pezim and Mike Muzylowski grinding up gold samples from local mines and mixing them with the bags going to the assay lab. That was in Mexico, not New Mexico. As far as I was concerned it was honest work as I was not washing the stock or the brains behind the operation. (I guess you would believe that). You could call it regional averaging. The stocks did well and anyway you could never start a mine in Mexico with any hope of keeping it so it justified a market only approach.

The sophistication of the salting back then makes Bre-X look sloppy. Once the ore samples are ground up they are indistinguishable from the barren veins we owned. Once again we never intended mining from them anyway, just giving our shareholders a Christmas present.
