Somebody just bought 15000 shares at 6 5/16. (i.e., 45,000 shares
before the reverse split).

Let's hope for the better!

Guess what? No major change so far in any upward move...

Mohammad: "Osicom is doing the reverse split so the company can upgrade its listing on the Nasdaq market to the top-tier National Market from the lower-rung Small-Cap Market."

I seem to remember reading that the NMS listing was not a reason for the reverse split. Something that they had a high enough price when they applied for it. I really don't think that is a reason for the reverse split myself.

I suspect that some institutions had approached Osicom suggesting it so that it would be easier for them to purchase a marginable stock (not that they would buy on margin, but a policy might be that the stock has to be in order to consider it). Great deal for the institution as the price would inevitably drop and they can pick up a few shares relatively cheap.

On the other hand, Par may want to purchase a few on margin if he didn't learn his lesson from last year. (You never know).

I suspect the price will drop further as short sellers step in, that is if it gets shortable next week. Although I would caution any short selling at this low of a price. I don't really expect great news for a while (otherwise they would not need the reverse split), but if they do have some sales the price could easily jump very quickly.

The scary thing is that the price is not down due to short selling, its just lack of sales and lack of confidence by the street in Osicom. Thinking of nosebush who thanked Craig and Barb for all of the warnings, who can blame anyone for not believing in any of Osicom's promises until they actually start to deliver on them.

Just my thoughts.

ps. I am still long and hoping for a miracle. It is usually a good time to buy when there is this much negative news, but I will wait to see if I can pick up a few shares at 5 next week.
