Newest Forbes has an interview with Nobuyuki Idei, president of Sony. He states the Japanese mobile phone market at about 40 million and that the phones are extremely popular.

He goes on to talk a little about IMT-2000, a cellular tech that can transmit video. Is this another name for cdma2000? Does the "2000" have any significance in terms of implementation date? Is it a technology that will subject Q to competition in Japan? (And elsewhere)

I may be showing my complete lack of grasp of the obvious in asking, but there are no stupid questions, right guys? (Right guys? Right? Please?)
