Another heavy volume down day for NASDAQ; dow breaking little above even on a rally expected in a bull market; not an impressive performance I would say. Would be interesting to see where we go from here. Perhaps too many people expect bulls will come out unscathed from this draft and that might be a problem.

(CPQ - news), according to separate reports released on Monday. Without the addition of Digital Equipment PCs to Compaq's numbers, Dell would have actually pulled ahead in the race. Compaq acquired Digital in June and the surveys counted the entire second quarter of Digital shipments as Compaq machines.
