Someone help me here. If there is little or no overburden and kimberlite is harder than sedimentary rock. Why would the kimberlite on Marums property not be sticking up since the kimberlite would not have eroded as quickly as the surrounding rock? In the NWT the inverse in true -the kimberlites wore down quicker than the surrounding granite and formed lakes. On the Ashton property they found the 11th pipe with a dozer while clearing the pad. All the other jrs are looking for the equivalent of pimples on the surface of the sedementary rock -under the till. Marum has little or no till. Were they scraped off by glaciation? They are talking -down ice now. Then what good is looking for indicators if the kimberlite is not sticking up on the surface? Just curious. JP
