Given the market nervousness, if something starts falling like a rock, there is no telling how low it can go ... in the bearish drown-draft and -ve sentiment, there is usually no point in trying to pick a bottom ... TA and charts don't mean a thing .. and mostly small companies are flushed out first and fast from the big portfolios ... sometimes even before doing much analysis, in the heat of things, as "capital preservation" becomes the sole mantra then. The last 2-days' action just prior to earnings, don't paint a good picture for post-earnings cymi action, imho. (even though general market contributed to some of this, but the -ve slope was higher than the market, and volume was not minuscule either).

regards to all,
-/Sonny.

acidman, cool name- do you get good acid? Anyway, I agree with you- this baby is going dooooooooowwwwwwwwwnnnnnnnnnn. I used to like cymi as a hot newcomer in a growth field. However, the field looks stagnant and so does cymi. Looks like they have been resting on their lead, instead of doing the r&d to maintain it. Could be another case like cs where the founders made a ton of money and then didn't give a shit what happened. For once, I disagree with Zeev who's pretty sharp on most things. I don't think cymi is springing back nearly as fast as he expects and I think asia will be down and out way way longer than he thinks. Probably to y2k at least. I think cymi could easily hit 10 and then bounce and then drift under 10. Still a lot of amateur investors in this stock on the hype who refuse to face the ugly reality of the semi situation out there. I think this stock is turning into a cube type stock, i.e unbelievable hype when it first came out and then the long slow fade to reality. Like cube it will probably never return to 50 ever again. As long as they maintain earnings they will stabilize around here but if they miss the numbers they will get cut in half overnight. Pretty big risk to take for a very very limited upside, as I see it. Lots of shorts so perhaps another squeeze into the 20's at some point but the fundamentals just aren't there. Add this stock to the long list of one hit wonder stocks where the brokers and market makers and founders got rich and the latecomers got poor... Just my opinion... Probably still a good trading stock for a while but I sure wouldn't want to hold this one for more than a few weeks at a time. I may try to play the dead cat bounce off of 10, however.
