They've done this in the past, "pull the website to update with news".

Do you have any specific examples of this?

If they were going belly up next week it would show in the trading of the stock wouldn't it? Stock has been going down, but on light volume. Looking at today's transaction log I think I see buys 158.000 and sells 82.000. In spite of this the price goes down. I thought making a market in securities was a question of the law of supply and demand. Perhaps someone has an interest in running the stock into the ground.
