Don't take it personally, but look at this post: Message 5248259 It wasn't well received on the thread, of course, but it looked like a no-brainer to me. Again, I regrettably failed to follow my instincts. I should have closed the position on expiry day, and/or bought the puts, knowing a pull-back was due. (I did close the CC during the week and unloaded the stock on a morning bounce the next day around 112, and just day-traded for a nibble here and there the rest of the week.)

Nothing goes straight up. Look to see if a stock (and the market) is over-extended before going long. The earnings season party this month really wasn't justified by the numbers that were coming out, IMO.
