after a couple of conversations, i would tend to agree with you. i've learned that they want to use the call as a bit of a coming out/ get acquainted with the street event and yes.... to show that lutz is in charge of the day to day operations. if terry was on the call (his location in the world is irrelevant to his ability to be on the call) he would, well...... be terry and end up stealing the limelight.

anyway, i hope it's still in the 21's monday so i can start to build a position. on another note, i view the reported t/bt alliance as a positive to nn. i still worry about nn's contract with mcic as worldcom is in bed with other vendors. nn has essentially no relationship with worldcom and i don't see signs that this will change.

btw, anyone with any connections within the co have any insight into the status of the siemens alliance? the logistical nightmare of uncoupling their r&d, products and acquisitions seems quite burdensome from my vantage point. also, the 36190 is the main reason that t is interested in buying equipment from nn (the 36190 is siemens'- revenue split on it is soemthing like 80/20 in siemens favour as opposed to the 36170 which is about 80/20 to nn. one reason for discontent from siemens is that they have not really gotten anything out of the alliance to date. i do know that this has caused a strain).

imo only....nick
