Re: "the market for Alien Blaster (tm EPhud '98) software is too limited"

You ought to start taking it more seriously. Take 3Dfx for example. It has a market cap of 220 million (about 1/10th of AMD). That market cap is pretty much ENTIRELY based on "mutant blasting." Gateway has recently committed to including 3Dfx's mutant blaster chips in many of its computers. 3Dfx is only one player in this very large market.

Face it, AMD is hurting Intel more than Intel is hurting AMD. The $1.8 billion tha disappeared from Intel's balance sheet last quarter almost is equivalent to AMD's entire market cap! The trend will continue as long as AMD continues to offer better products cheaper, and as long as Intel refuses to end the price war and cede market share.

<< Intel simply has lower costs and the market for Alien Blaster (tm EPhud '98) software is too limited.>>

Yes Intel has the lower cost with a bigger die size and a big cartridge. You are brilliant Elmer.

<<I predict AMD will never again post an operating profit unless they drop out of the x86 business.>>

You are pretty DUMB to make such a BOLD statement. You are doomed to fail.
