Another reason to buy Dell!

Sales and Marketing Management magazines just released their list of the top 25 sales organizations...Dell Computer came in #4!

The top 4:

1) GE Capital
2) Cisco Systems
3) Frito-Lay
4) Dell

The 1/4 page article on Dell listed 3 interested points: (1) The story about how the Nasdaq needed countless new servers in 72 hours and got them with only one phone call to Dell. (The head of operations for NASDAQ is quoted as saying, "Dell is the only vendor I can recall that with one call, I can get what I need)...BE DIRECT! :)
(2) Dell is using the internet in unique ways: one of their sales reps stated that new product training is now done over the web....instead of having to come back to Austin for 3 days EACH QUARTER, reps can stay in the field and access this information off the web....

Think about this (!) 3 sales days gained each quarter because of the net! There are probably countless other application the web will have for corporate business, all of which should help Dell become even more cost-effecient!

A footnote: Last year, Dell was no. 1 in the same survey....The only other computer manufacturer listed in the top 25 was Hewlett-Packard (at no. 15)....after their second quarter, I reckon they are going to have a tough time making the top 25 again next year!

Just wanted to brighten your day, Kemble!
