David, it was a great week! We go two points up and the Dow 400 down. If that isn't a reversal, what is? 3 billion is the number, 85 percent market-share! White-house, small potatoes for the stock, big tragedy for the families of the two police officers. My heart goes out to them!
Anybody with any kind of vision at all can see where we are headed and we are destined to be the leader in a booming market! If it takes a scare to wake people up, then they are probably asleep most of the time anyway and will not cash in on this opportunity!
Have a great weekend all, and like I said before, this is a great thread full of educated people! The company knows that the shareholders on this thread are loyal, smart, well informed and have the best interest of the company in mind! Onward and upward!

David,

The Capital event will draw attention to security. The gunman was on the Secret Service list of people who had threatened to kill the president. I'm sure they have a set of his prints......as they do for hundreds of others who are prone to do these types of things.

It would not be unrealistic for folks who enter these types of buildings to have their thumbprints taken...and quickly compared to a data-base of prints, in order to alert police that a threat has just walked through the door. I know it is "the people's house"....but the people's house must be safe for people.

I would think the White House Tour would do something like this for sure.

The most interesting aspect of the deal yesterday....was that one of the news reporters from CNN, while reporting live from the hospital.....had his cell phone HACKED .......live, on nation-wide TV.
I did not hear it......My wife did. She said that a guy jumped in and posed as a CNN reporter...saying that the motive for the shootings was that the gunman was upset because he was unable to get the Howard Stern show on his radio.......

Security? As we go further into the age of information.....it is becoming more obvious that our information is not secure.

I believe IDX is part of the solution......but folks have just not quite caught on yet. They will.....It may take a group of clever 8th graders taking control of an aircraft carrier or shutting down power grids to a seven state area.....but folks will catch on eventually.

That's when IDX will get some serious attention.

bg

ps. The short term solution for the Capital is a second metal detector further down the hall that would trigger a set of doors even further down the hall....sealing off the building to "runners". Even if the police were shot dead...the system would function.

Speaking of the need for security . . . .

The "David" I am responding to here is not me; you SI people can check this out by clicking on the name. Oh no, am I going to be mistaken as someone who day trades on public tragedies?
