"To be sure, Microsoft could face new criticism for trying to stake a bigger market in cyberspace by using its software to guide consumers to its own Internet sites. The company already faces harsh criticism from politicians and software rivals for similar moves. Microsoft shares fell 3 3/4 to 113 Thursday after a Congressional hearing on the issue.
