You all know that I am not a developer, just a simple end user and stockholder. I did meet with a group leader for a bunch of developers in Scot's Valley, his opinion of Del Yocam was : he is never do well sort of guy.
I am sorry that my money is dead in BORL but I am so deep in the hole with this stock that selling now means very little . Let us just hope that we are all wrong about the DEL.
I don't want to get depressed just before the weekend so I am going to kick back and have two sips of single malt scotch and hope against hope that DY succeeds.

I couldn't agree more. I'm a former Borland employee and still hold 4K shares. The effort to move Borland from a shrink warp company to Enterprise tools was started 2 1/2 years ago, before Del came on board. I like the ideas posted here that Del should put up some of his own cash. Take a pay cut, buy some more stock and show us you really care about the stockholders!

My friends who still work are Inprise all wonder why he's worth some much? Maybe he should be asking himself that?

RE: I am also confident they wonder why Del is getting the big bucks he is.

I would not be so quick to speak on behalf of the BORL employees. If they have bought into Del's vision, then they know that they are going to make a fortune of their cheap options and ESP shares. If they have not, they probably quit already. If they have not quit, and are not happy, then I would wonder what is up. There are 10 jobs for every decent SW engineer in the valley.
