What Golden Bird is This by Graystone

The deep couch proved to be an uncomfortable place to sit for someone as tensed up as she was. The constant pressure bothered her a lot. The amount of money required to keep this all up was tremendous. It grew more and more elaborate. She was well aware that it would all come tumbling down someday, and felt jail would still be avoidable.
Pressure was being maintained by officialdom, not that they cared too much, the world was full of people who hoped to get rich and they had learned to use that very well.
Their habits were so damn expensive, it didn't matter how much they raked in, they needed more.
What to hell would they do next.
She glanced at the 52" TV that was showing a rerun of Volcano, the huge pyroclastic cloud on the screen represented her jumbled thoughts. She could her him down the hall in the bathroom, using cold water to try and clear his burnt out bleeding nostrils.
The doorbell rang.

Downtown was cold at night, he sat at his desk and leaned back, looking at the lights of the city. His neck ached from reading all the information, the pile didn't look any smaller and he was no nearer any kind of resolution in the affair. It was clear that lots of official paperwork was flying, it could happen at anytime. He unconsciously massaged his Glock resting in a shoulder harness that was very well worn. Glancing at his watch, he wished for a second that the damn Swedes hadn't arrived on the BOAC charter right now. He was hosting some kind of dinner tonight, lobster and clam fest, at least the food would be good.

Thanks Alan, everything is going well with my family.
You do know I am serious when I suggest the two ID's don't you <g>
I am just thankful that I have not yet been nominated a thread moron by any of the fine people on the MINE thread.
