Jeff,

>>>> Typically" with a direction and momentum shift as you described of Friday afternoon, how would a weekend with neutral news impact
the direction and momentum? <<<<<

How the heck do I know gggggggggggggggg

I have only been watching the TICK for 2 weeks and only came up with my formula last week. For now I feel that this analysis is only good for 30-60 minutes and to tie it with other indicators to pick the best buy-in/sell point.

To further explain, I got the CLASS 1 BUY signal to buy at the low on Friday. These CLASS 1 BUY signals are only good for 1-3 points on a 50$ stock. To determine if the pop continues I have to switch to my mid-term analysis.

So I make the assumption that since it is a CLASS 1 BUY to the upside I need to get an early confirmation that the momentum has changed on the buy-in day. That is where my TICK analysis comes into play and in the early afternoon on Friday it stated that the momentum changed to a positive bias. So it is the combination of these 2 analysis. Lets see if I am right.

Late Friday it appeared that we were moving up and the DOW was up about 20 points before the news of the shooting at the capital which had a knee-jerk reaction. The DOW went down to negative 25 but immediately popped back up to close slightly positive.

With my CLASS 1 BUY and my TICK ANALYAIS confirming an intraday momentum change to the upside I believe that the beginning of next week, at least MONDAY, should be up.

Keep in mind that per my TICK ANALYSIS momentum can change direction a few times in a day, which is normally set-off by program trades.

DISCLAIMER - I am in test stages of my TICK ANALYSIS, and as NEMER eluded to, they can be itchy at times gggggggggggggggggggg
