Sam: Please don't think your posts offend me. They baffle me. Befuddle me. And, in a way, sadden me. I thrill the the 'facts' you enumerate, taking them with appropriate dashes of salt. But it is the violence of your statements that throws me off. You are really caught up in this whole matter - as if it were an end-all sort of situation. And, to me, your assertions are similar to those that I have one time mentioned on this thread, of a group of Peaceniks running through the Meadow in Central Park with a sign damaning "KILL FOR PEACE!!!" I can even understand Craig going on the stump - he is after an inner awareness that differs so much from our materialistic Christianity. But you just bash the whole pumpkin, as if it's the only bad pumpkin in the barrel, as if, having it bashed, all will be ecstacy. I agree with the characterizations you give to Biblical Teaching. But, I must say that I cannot think of any recorded society, including the nature-loving American Indians, who lived by peace rather than by the sword. Infanticide, destruction, and subjugation can be traced to about all groups of us humans. Thus I feel you react too irrationally, not in fact, but in emotion, to the absurdities of Christianity. I mean, I have trouble with Chrissy's self-appointed Paganism, which is a sort of nothingism. But, with your ANTI-Jesus X, I find the enemy within, in a matter of speaking. Imagine, which I have mentioned, has "Imagine there were no religion..." How great!!! But does this require an active anti-religion offensive to start it up? Or can we learn mildly? With all good wishes, geo
