Does that verse just come naturally? I envy you.

I've thought about inviting all three of my co-workers (hunters in name, killers by nature) over, usually about this time of year, but I'm afraid they'll assume it will be considered an open invitation come deer season. The deer have never been much of a problem.

So I take it the freezer will be overflowing this year.

I planted 9 plants this year in new dirt and they look excellant. The 8 x 8 space, if growth continues at its current pace, will reach the last 8 to make the cube. Lots of flowers, a few tomatoes left :( , but some mighty fine plants none the less. At least I'll get some green peppers.

And we've even had peaches this year from the local orchards. The squirrels haven't made the year a total loss. The black berries didn't make very well due to a lack of significant rain in the later part of June and the beginning of July. But we had quite an abundance of wild raspberries. Too bad I don't care for them much. A little tart for my sweet tooth. It looks like the walnut and persimmon trees are also loaded. For such a funky weather year, things aren't looking half bad.

Ya ever make it down the Ozark way, bring your gun, assuming you own one. :-)
