Hi Jane !

I have a 15 year old bobtail female grey cat. I love her and am crazy about her. She is the first one at the door to meet me when I come from work. But I greet her happily and enthusiastically. She is open and honest; even a little demanding when she expresses her displeasure about not having enough food or even not enough fresh food, or any other needs she has. But I listen to her attentively and try to find out exactly what she wants.

She insists on her independence, expects me to trust her when she wants to do her gallivanting around, even if that means coming in late at night. When she wants to snuggle up to me I never push her away because I don't want her to get the impression she is not desired.

I give her attention every day, back rubs ect. and she will just about go anywhere with me I want to go. I never yell at her because I just cannot stand to see the sadness in her eyes the few times I have.

( Have you figured where this is going yet ? )

When she needs medical care, she gets the best in town and I gladly pay all the bills.

But you know; she has also taught me how to treat my wife. That cat is one of the best things that has ever happened to our marriage.

I know this sounds stupid but that old grey bobtail cat has made me a much better husband and father. God truly does work in mysterious ways.
