Hi again, DLL. The hope of Salvation is the great escape</> dimension of our hope.
"But let us, who are of the day, be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love; and for an helmet, the hope of Salvation."
1 Thess 5:8

In this passage, the hope of salvation is not referring to salvation from our sins but, rather deliverance from the wrath of God in the coming Day of the Lord. The context of 1 Thessalonians clearly points this out. Also we read"Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day; we are not of the night, nor of the darkness." We are members of the Body of Christ, who have been saved during God's declaration of grace and peace in this AGE OF GRACE. We are the children of the day. This has a relation to the Day of Christ, that glorious time of the Rapture and Judgement Seat of Christ in heaven. (Phil. 1:6)

"For God has not appointed us(the body of Christ) to wrath (God's wrath in the future tribulation), but to obtain Salvation (deliverance from the tribulation) by our Lord Jesus Christ." 1 Thess. 5:9)

THE HOPE OF RESURRECTION
"If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men most miserable. But now is Christ risen from the dead, and become the first fruits of them that slept."
1 Cor. 15:19,20

To be absebt from the body, and to be present with the Lord." 11 Cor. 5:8
God grant you the understanding of his unsearchable riches.
