The real issue is can amzn grow a large and loyal customer base and make money. All but a few on this thread think they will fail. I not rushing to judgement. Is the stock to high? Yes, but short it not with my money. They're spending money to build a hallmark name in the internet arena. Will it payoff only time will tell. Why is H James willing to pay more for his haircut then he may otherwise have to? He has his reasons why. He likes Arco gas, happens to be cheapest and closest. But what if it wasn't would he drive by five gas stations, maybe a mile to save 1 cent per gallon. Why don't people call every mechanic in the book until they find the cheapest. Why is Tide the leading brand when no-frills brands are 40% cheaper. What about Clorox, you can go on for ever with this. They are building a brand name which is synonymous with the internet like AOL and Yahoo. I don't care where the stock is, but don't lose prospective because your short. Once people are hooked it's going to be difficult to change their behavior i don't care how many dollars cheaper others are. They have huge lead. I don't know, maybe I spend $5.00 more a month buying books from amzn and H James may spend $20.00 a month more on his haircut because he likes the way his barber cuts it. So who cares! We like what we get in return. Why should I check every site to save a buck. Go look for a cheaper barber who will cut your hair the same way for less. I'm objective, i don't have a position nor do i care where the stock goes.
