An instructor of mine told me that his stock broker could see pending orders for MSFT at certain levels, like if there were a lot of sell orders placed at 110 when MSFT was at 106.

RoyBatty,

The instructor is probably talking about Level II data. Thee is an entire thread devoted to it here on SI. I've never looked into it substantially, but I think we all could benefit from it.

Just put in an order to sell my AAPL position. I see it heading down now to around $30 (34 day MA) at least. Also it's my highest beta US long stock. Many small and mid cap stocks have been falling for a while - and this may be beginning to affect AAPL? Still holding PPOD, PGA, and SWY long and MSFT short. Thinking about buying index put warrants in Aus soon.
