Dear STeve,
My exact point. I am accused of saying there is salvation other than Jesus and that is not at all what I am saying. I am saying that God has a plan and has not forsaken His people as it says in Romans 11. There is true integrity with God and throughout scripture especially in Hosea He is faithfull to an unfaithful people because of His integrity and His Name. I feel that some people do not know Him and portray Him like Jobs friends did as a God seeking to destroy the human worm and I see Him as the God in John 3:16 For God so loved the WORLD.
Also, if the Jews have been hardened or have a viel over their eyes concerning the Messiah then how can they be judged for not seeing? I beleive they will see Him as prophesied by Zechariah and their will be recoinciliation and a earthly reign that was promised to David.
This in no way deminishes the Church actually the Church is most blessed for they know Him now and that is the greatest part of the faith is knowing Him in a personal relationship, eternal life is only valuable if He is there. It is all Him all else is dung.
Thank you for your post,
Peace and Grace to you,
Nancy

Greetings Steve, Welcome to this thread. The preacher who gave his analogy of two tracks running parallel, One being Israel and the other is Church sounds good but is mortily flawed. Tracks that are parallel will never meet, if they do they never were parallel. There is just one track stating withAbraham,Isaac,Jacob......Israel......... .. .. .........the Lord Jesus Christ..the Church( the Israel of God-ALL NATIONS)...................the second Coming. There is much discussed here Steve that violates the integrity of Gods Word. May the Holy Spirit guard your heart and mind and cause His Light to be seen through your life. By the way, thank you for posting the address of "emanna". Robert

<< I heard a great preacher who I admire and respect greatly preach that there were two different tracts of scripture talked about in the bible running parallel. One track of the church and one track of Israel! He painted the picture of two railroad tracks running parallel, that converge somewhere down the tracks into one track, or one church!

If this were true, and I never really shook out his theory thouroughly (maybe the thread can help me), both sides could be right. Wouldn't that be beautiful!>>

I have heard much of this kind of theology as well. Perhaps the biggest sources were calvary chapel and Hal Lindsey. I've also found many prophesy books are inclined to present this type of view. I don't have all the answers regarding this issue but won't limit God as to what He's capable of doing. I do believe the fact that there is no other name under heaven except the name of Jesus by which we may be saved. And no matter what race, kindred or tongue we are from the gospel applies to all with no acceptions or favorites. God has no grandchildren either, in other words every single person must personally be born again by the spirit of God and have their sins washed away because God will not allow sin in His presence.
