OSX Aug 85 puts open interest is at 11,734 contracts as of the close on Friday. Total put OI was 18,351, compared to 8,784 OI on the calls. Largest OI on August calls is the 80 strike price, with only 2,983.

With those Aug 85 puts now 12.50+ in the money, any naked put writers are going to be hurting big time if OSX doesn't rally in the next 4 weeks. Thoughts on whether that could provide a boost to the sector?

Of course if those puts were mostly written by shorts as a hedge, it won't provide support.

Just trying to find a glimmer of hope...
