Nice to see the short interest pressure down a bit.

Gary:

Same data reported in NYT. When I read it (under largest decrease in short position table) I thought, it looks like the weak undercapitalized were shaken out of the tree. They can try a repeat squeeze, but do the bulls think that those who boxed the first time will suddenly be gripped by a brain aneurysm and forget to do so again (or buy to cover). Uh, not.

Mark F. -- question -- when the cfo of amzn goes on record in an interview stating that the redetn run up in stock price has something to do with the short squeeze, i assume that you too will call this slab of sh-t a "diamond" only insofar as it stays voalatile for you -- up and down -- and that you wouldn't go so far as to claim it's a good long term investment at these prices. if you are making the latter argument, kindly refer to earlier email.

Gary,

If the float is 11 Million shares, less 7.3 million short interests, then the Float controllers control no more than 3.7 million shares? Somehow it does not make sense.

Why does the short interest remain so high?? after 6 weeks' intense pressure...B/C:

1. Short interests are controlled by well-capitalized professional shorts..?
2. Shorts have been boxing, not covering..?
3. The float controllers are major short sellers of Amzn...?
