> if they crash first, the market will follow

already a done deal. Here's my leading indicator:
tscn.com

why this leads the market I don't know. Notice how
July for FINL follows pretty closely the ABC you
predict is starting on the dow.

Bobby: I may look for the "internuts" to be the last to capitulate. MM will squeeze as much juice out of them as possible, before letting go. NAZ may be the last to fall!

Lot of the new "manic" investors, will be left with their pockets turned inside out! And, many savvy investors as well. Greed, has pulled many into this boiling pot.

Now, I know the Dow indexes, are based on price and not by market capitalization as the newer indices are. However, they still can give meaningful signals. The Composites, Transports and Utilities all gave sell signals last week. (My short/medium term voodoo.) The Industrials are soon to follow! The Industrials never achieved the momentum in this run, that it did in the run up at the beginning of 98. And, now the momentum shifted days ago to the down side. If this is "the" top, likely we will see major oscillations in the market. De-sensitizing the individual investor, before the "hands that know", go into the "pockets that don't".

My voodoo, does not project future prices, as say Elliot Wave does. However, it does indicate trend changes. (short, medium and long) It was kind enough to me in 1987, allowing me to get my entire family into cash 100% weeks ahead of time. (No investment bulletin boards in those days. One just had to have faith in his or her judgement.) On Black Monday, I was just a spectator. It was a nice feeling. Of course, hind site, it is easy to see the 1987 top, but in those days, the charts were not complete, if you know what I mean!

I am not so sure it will be as easy to see this time! Actually, 1987 was not a one-day crash. Looking back on the charts, one can easily see the decline proceeding Black Monday. However, we all know now, it was more like a big correction. With individual investors fixed to computer screens and bulletin boards, these days, it most likely will fall differently!

I don't know if this is the Big K. or a long awaited correction, but with such a speculative bubble, I am not taking any chances. I am now 100% in cash. I am doing some day trading, but flat before the bell. If the market moves up, I'll take my chances and leave some money on the table. Already alerted the family, to prep for possible move into cash. Waiting for one more signal, before sounding the bell. Preservation of capital comes first!

My brother started investing in coins, a couple of years ago. I am now considering shifting funds in same direction. Will look to acquiring same collectible coin investment software! <g>

LG

PS: IFC? I agree. I declined! I like to eat tomatoes, not wear them. <g>

Just thought I would mention this little interesting tidbit. Mabye you have already heard about it.

There is this one site on the internet at roguemarket.com where 'investors' can trade fake money on celebrities and other famous people and then win prizes. Trades are made based on news events with respect to the particular celebrity. I do not know if they have charts or historical prices that have been fetched for certain celebrities but I know that some people like Art Bell (night time talk show host) have fetched over 70,000 bucks.

Recently (Friday) Art Bell was on air and mentioned the site and said that his listeners should sell like there is 'no tomorrow' because his stock prices was plunging.

What is so interesting about this is that perhaps this roguemarket trading is mimicing the real markets on an emotional level! Art Bells stock crashing now? Sign of things to come in the real market?
