SUBJECT: MARKET TIMING REVISITED

Some may recall my post at Message 4829076 in regards to following the the major P&F bullish percent indexes. Well here's an update of the gain loss:

INDEX---5/13/98------7/25/98-----Gain/(Loss)
DOW-----9211.84-----8937.36-----(2.98%)
S&P------1118.86-----1140.80-----1.96%
NAZ------1866.18-----1930.99-----3.47%

With the exception of some completed short term trades, I'm still primarily cash. My primary indicator, the NYSEBP, is still very defensive and I'm not going to bet against it.

My hard earned cash is warm and cozy in money markets and I'm sleeping very well thank you.

BTW, some good folks have advised me that I made a typo on my overbought/oversold post and should have put 53 instead of 43 in my example. They're right --- and as punishment, I'm now going to make myself drink a double gin and tonic. (Damn, I'm hard on myself.)

Take care,

Eric
