Jeff,

Someone pointed out to me that after you have read all of your messages, you can use the "clear counts" button, which I did, and this message, while not removed, is no longer showing in my inbox. Thanks for your response.

Jeff, I just noticed that the OTC BB stocks are mislabeled where SI is showing the quotes. They say "OTC: XXXX", and should say, "OTC BB: XXXX", so as to make the market they trade in very clear. There has been confusion on this by some new investors, the people I spoke to at the NASD were adamant in their desire to have these things reported if they were not accurate. I believe that it should be clear on the quote boxes that BB stocks are not connected to the NASDAQ.

Personally, I think that every BB thread should say "OTC BB" on the thread title, also; or perhaps a section of SI for the BB stocks would be better.

Here is some background:

Thanks, Jeff.

Jeff, is there a way to plot the daily SI posting rate? I sometimes do it myself from the SI total message number, but would be better to see an official plot. I believe that the SI posting rate carries significant market sentiment info. Would be better to plot a total which does not include topics not related to stocks.

For example I have learned that the posting rate to Roger's Short Thread often declines before market dips.

Jeff, the new disclaimer and warning on the BB threads is great. Thanks for putting that up, maybe it will save someone some money.

Requested page not found.

Jeff:

I've been getting this several times today when trying to post a message... I've tried the back buttons, the edit buttons, going to prior posts, ect... Sometimes it works, and sometimes it doesn't...

Jeff,

Nice job (to Brad?) on implementing the "Search This Thread Only" function. Better late than never.<G>

Is there a problem with SI today? I keep getting error messages and have to hit reload about 5-6 times before each message is displayed. Here is the message I am getting.

Jeff/Brad:

I have been a memeber of SI for several years and was wondering about old archived Message Boards. Question: When a company get bought out, what do you'all do with that old message board?

The reason why I am asking, is that I was looking for the message board for Digex, which was acquired by Intermedia Communications.

TIA,

dave
