Latest book-to-bill shows IC-equipment demand still slipping-- With no clear signs of relief in sight, suppliers of semiconductor capital equipment remain hopeful that their markets have hit bottom in the current industry recession, but the latest book-to-bill figures from North American vendors are not that encouraging. According to SBN, the book-to-bill index for June tumbled to 0.74, its lowest point in the current slump, according to Semiconductor Equipment and Materials International (SEMI).
