Chartseer / Anybody

Thank you for your response and insights. It just so happens NOVL is a stock I follow, as it is a local company for me here in UT. OK-- the # designation is the month. -- Here comes my ignorance -- In looking at the P&F chart for NOVL the number designation is at the top of a column -- It just so happens the placement of that number indicates a breakout if that would have been a X. Comments ?????

I am not a daytrader -- generally I like to find some that I can roll in and out of (a couple weeks to a month) Occasionally I trade within a day or two - especially when the profit is there to be taken. I am 45% in cash at the moment. Most of portfolio is in gold related and PM stocks. -- Figure long term hold -- Also a 3000share (avg 12 15/16) position in CS as a turnaround -- looked at the P&F chart -- pretty ugly -- maybe should have waited. There was a big gap down from 23 that has not yet been closed.

I will locate Dorsey's book and take a look if this is something I wish to pursue.

As I stated previously --- great board--- Wow even a contest Congrats to the winner.

BTW can anyone recommend any P&F software. (Commercial or Shareware) I find the ENPNF interesting but is DOS based.

Thanks in Advance
Horst

PS Sorry about the longwinded post -- just trying to get as much in as a trial member (three posts/day). This board and the Covered Call board and Gold Price Monitor board will very likely cinch my subscription to SI. Thanks Again

>>I like to look for major trend reversals like currently in the NOVL chart and am prepared to ride it out till I get a sell signal<<

Hi CS. NOVL trend chart looks pretty nice, to me as well. But what about RS (-/Os)? Still quite a way to go before it flips to Xs and a mega bunch until it goes +. Is this what you mean by "ride it out"? East.
