If SAP is perceived as a great stock reflecting a company with a great future, the mutual funds will want to show it on the list of stocks they own.
Right on, Mike! I can't imagine a fund claiming it is a "Growth Fund", holding software stocks, and not buying a 5% position in SAP
If a listing on the NYSE results in a much higher stock price over the long term due to increased awareness and access to the stock.
I thought this was a German co with an old line conservative outlook, but I read that they are going to make a "splash " on the NYSE on opening day, set up a beach party on the floor of the exchange and go for publicity. Looks like they are going all out to pump the stock price.
