Aw shucks,
The truth is you had to be insane enough to buy the InterNUTS (I just love that moniker) to win the contest. Just shows that I'm the only one with no brains! I couldn't, wouldn't, possibly accept such a gracious prize so I'm officially requesting that it be donated to the next P&F seminar we all can attend. Then we can have some real fun! In the meantime, I hope everybody is being VERY CAREFUL right now - and patient - I've got a feeling that P&Fers could afford some great seminar location (Paris, anyone?) if we play our cards right. Jan and Preston, you are wonderful and we all think so and I really mean it and so does everyone else. So THANK YOU so much. It was a lot of fun.

Peggy

Hello Preston,

You did a good job on your initial contest. Thank you for taking the time.

I had no intention of selling any of my positions. I know your rules allowed it but I was content to see what happened in 4 weeks. The fun thing for this kind of contest (at least for me) was to explain why you picked a stock from an overall market and P&F perspective.

BTW, I have been carrying on some private message discussions with a few TA gurus and they have been having a two week stock contest for years. Here is the word I was e-mailed on their rules:

>>The guy that runs it doesn't have a lot of time. So the rules are buy (long or short) on a Monday at the open, sell two weeks later on Fri at the close. We pick two stocks, and divide the % gain by two. Ex stock "a' is up 10% and "b' is up 0%, then your gain for the day is +5%.<<

I would suggest you do something like the above to make it easy on yourself. You could increase the number of stocks but keep it to two weeks and no selling or buying after the initial pick. We can all go to MarketPlayer if we want to do one month buy and sell contest trading.

Thanks again for the hard work.

Eric

Congratulations Peggy, Duke60, and Al on your contest finishes. Also, many thanks to Jan and Preston for their time and effort in running and keeping track of the contest results {I wish the part of Wizzie's program that tracked Cliffs Drilling had broken down somehow ;-)

Hope I can find the time to post a bit more in the next few days. I'd like to post a Chartcraft Report today as they've had lots of important things to say. I'm still trying to catch up on reading the many good posts that have appeared in the last few days.

Take care,
Bruce
