I would think that monitoring the option volume is important. I expect them to buy lots of puts before a crash. If they sell calls, how would we know?

The entire internet sector looks over-valued by the charts TA to me. How long will the move up last? If you had to move around large holdings in these companies you might not wait to get every last % that might be possible. The Clinton Scandal, general market downturn, more news about a relaxing of growth in the internet, or other things could step in to steal away their huge potential profit from winding down their positions. I think they may reason that its better to take profits now and possibly re-enter when the fever looks to heat up once again.
